These are photos from the 20th Anniversary Celebration of my line, 10 Degrees Below Zero of the Xi Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Texas A&M University in 1987. The pledge process began one dark late night in October. The exact time-- noone knows. The exact date is a blurr to all that participated. The room was filled with....Jackie Caviel, Ericka Edwards, Demetra Andrews, Chandra Braden, Tammy Gilbert, Janet Bell, Kelley Eubanks (not pictured), Robyne Kelly (not pictured), Carolyn Calhoun (not pictured), and LaTricia Williams. The other names will not be revealed to protect the innocent.
The story goes on---The ten of us lived together, Studied together, worked together and participated in all activities together for six weeks. The journey was not easy but, as far as we know the pearls that we received were worth the 6 weeks journey!!! I proud to say that after 20 years, we still find time to meet, greet and be merry together!!!
November 21, 2007 marked our exact date of our crossing the burning sands. For our 20th Anniversary, decided to go to Isle Pedi Spa. It is a really nice spa as you can see from the photos. You are graced with a flat screen tv, a warm neck wrap, and beverages of your choice. After the Spa, my line sisters and I went over to Azuma's Sushi Bar were we indulged in sushi, sake and life talk. To end the night, we headed to Scott Gertner's Sport's Bar. While at the Sports Bar, we indulged in karoake and much more!!! It goes without saying that we had a great time as you can see in the photos. What is life without your girlfriends----BORING!!!
